Hi all.
Is there a way in SQL Server 2014 that all alphabet characters of a string be converted to a special character using “replace function” and “regular expression”?

What I have tried:

Something like this:
SQL
select REPLACE('pouria',('%[a-z]'),'x')
– this code doesn’t work

Or here on CodeProject - replace special characters in sql[^]

Reference - PATINDEX (Transact-SQL)[^]
