I have been a software developer for about 20 years, mostly in small IT department that means you do all the roles all the time from 1st line support to 3rd line diagnostics and help authoring. To be fair, I don't do enough of the later which in turn causes way too much of the former with new staff always ready to show you how unintuitive your interfaces are!
I generally consider myself a "data plumber" with the majority of my work in back end SQL. If I could rule the world by writing a SPROC I would....
New definition of Stoicism: Someone who start a career in I.T. and still has a career in I.T. after 20 years!

A .NET and JavaScript enthusiast. Likes to work with different technologies on different platforms. Loves the logic and structure of coding and always strives to write more elegant and efficient code. Passionate about design patterns and applying Software Engineering best practices.
I'm a young coder who did exceedingly well in my education and was offered an internship by Microsoft. I've tried a range of things and realized that what I need is a super creative challenge. I'm hungry for a real role in a challenging startup, something I can stick with for years
Jose Pascoa is the owner of AtelierWeb Software (http://www.atelierweb.com). We produce security and network software and mixed utilities since 1999. The first program I published (in a BBS) was a MS-DOS utility, had the size of 21 KB and was done in Assembly Language. Nowadays, my low level languages are more likely to be "C", "C++" and "Delphi" rather than Assembly Language but I still like it. I have nothing against more fashionable languages like C# and technologies like WPF, actually I have played with them and published software with them.
Kamran Bilgrami is a seasoned software developer with background in designing mission critical applications for carrier grade telecom networks. All my life I have been passionate about architecture / software design, as this is the cornerstone to a maintainable and extensible application. As such, I have enjoyed exploring some crazy ideas and discovering that they are not so crazy after all. I also love writing about my ideas and seeing the community response. As a consultant, I've enjoyed working in a wide range of industries such as aerospace, boatyard management, remote sensing, emergency services / data management, and casino operations. I've done a variety of pro-bono work non-profit organizations related to nature conservancy, drug recovery and women's health.
I'm a young Software Engineer. Whilst I may accept a 'status quo' as given, it's my responsibility to improve it as soon as the opportunity arises.
Very familiar with the .Net framework since it has been the underlying foundation for most of my professional work so far. I'm that kind of guy who gets stuff done, while I may also improve the way things work whilst I'm at it. Generally can get along well with most people I meet as a professional.
Fervent volunteer firefigter, captain-ranked air force militia spec officer.
Great friend and generally nice to have me around - For a talk, a beer, or a bonfire (I might as well do all of those things combined). Oh, and I really love music - Rock & country that is, mostly.
Marco-Hans architected and developed Business Integration Software that integrates South Africa's entire food retail industry with Rhodes Food Group. His software integrates 5 JSE Listed, Blue Chip Companies: Rhodes Food Group, Shoprite Holdings, Pic n Pay, Woolworths, The Spar Group.
No business challenge is beyond understanding; no solution is out of reach. Perfect engineering at every level is priority. Marco-Hans has architected and developed large scale solutions for local and international blue chip companies in industries ranging from banking through retail and manufacturing to distribution.
I'm working with computers since the 80's of the past century, when I received as a present a 48K Spectrum which changed all my life plans, from a scientific career to a technical one. I started working in assembler language, in low lewel systems, mainly in the electromedical field. Today I work as a freelance, mainly in .NET Framework / database solutions, using the C# language.
I'm interested in scientific computer applications, and I,m learning AI and data analytics technics. I also own a technical blog, http://software-tecnico-libre.es/en/stl-index, where I publish some of the practice works of this learning process.

Computers are very straight... They always do exactly what we tell them to do... Only, much too often what we tell them to do is not really what we want them to do
Writing Software is one of the most creative tings one can do. I have been doing this for more than ten years now and still having a lot of fun with it. Besides doing software for HMI's on C# for business, I enjoy very much to implement interesting algorithms and analyse the mathematics they are based on in my leisure time
For more detailed descriptions and math visit me on my own page

I started coding in 1984 on a ZX Spectrum. From the Sinclair Basic I jumped straight to C++ (which I use since 1992). I wrote code in assembly 386, ANSI C++ (I love it) and VisualBasic 6.0 (urgh!!!); nowadays I write code in C# 4.0!
I was born in 1968 in Italy and I live in the north west of my country (near Venice). I work as a Project Leader/Senior Developer.
Computer Science interests: I like coding 3D-GameEngine and OpenGL applications.
Sport and hobbies: Martial Arts, Latino Dance, travels, reading and writing novels.

Roger has worked in IT for over 25 years in numerous roles (Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Capacity & Performance Engineering and Software Development).
During that time, he has recognized that software often just becomes another layer of work that the user has to wade through.
Sometimes technical documentation is like that too: so confusing and complex that it wastes developers' time.
That's why when he writes his books like
Programming Windows 10 Via UWP and his articles (
Practical Electronics For Makers) he strives to explain things in the shortest available space with the simplest language possible. Often that means, writing in a tutorial style with numerous images to help guide the user.
He believes the best guiding principle is Einstein's famous quote: "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler."
I am Software Developer with a passion for technology with strong backend (PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server) and frontend (HTML5, CSS3, AngularJs and KnockOutJs) experience.
