I'm having a peculiar problem with my treeview control. I have set it up so that the user may add nodes dynamically. The problem is that I am not able to select any node other than the first child of any parent node. For example, if i have the hierarchy as:
I am not able to select child2 (effectively that means I wont be able to add child nodes to child2). I can select child1 and add nodes. The problem is recursive, meaning I am not able to select the 2nd child of child1 either.
I didn't really understand what u meant.
Anyway I am using ASP.NET with Visual Studio 2008 for development.
Please elaborate further if thats not what u needed. (I'm a newbie with ASP.NET, so please forgive me!!)
But, it's maybe a question for a different forum but I'll ask.
We're building a new website, using AJAX/C#...blah blah blah. However, my boss wants to have the ability to change the content on the main page (and others) from an Admin type login...content management is the best I can describe it. So, if something important happens in our company or whatever, someone can log into the site directly and add/update/delete content. Like a Blog post, only he doesn't want it to look like a Blog.
Is there some sort of framework available that can be used for this (I'm probably asking a dumb question, but I just can't think straight today...)
one DB table.
one web form with a big text editor on it. maybe it's in a password-protected directory ?
a bit of code to write that text to the DB.
and a bit of code to read that text from the db and stuff it into your main page.
Is he planning on changing the whole page text or just add a news flash? For the latter, add an RSS feed frame somewhere in your main page. If he plans on putting company news up often, he'll realize he might need one.
I am using .NET 2.0 . i have used WebMonthview.WebDayView.WebWeekView and WebCalenderView controls.In case of Month week and Day controls i can show various appointments of an employee by using different style sheet classes.
On a certain day an Employee is out of office from 9 am to 11 am and in Office from 11am to 6 am.So in Day view i can show the period 9-11 am by applying CSS class "Absence" and the 11-6 period by applying CSS Class "In Office"
But in case of Calender View i m unable to show such information by applying 2 different CSS class for that day.
i have created 2 appointment objects with start-time and end-time as for 1st (s) 9- (e) 11 & for 2nd (s)11-6(e)
and i applied 2 different Css to both objects.
App1.Style.CssClass = "Absence";
App2.Style.CssClass = "OutOfOffice";
In case of Day view its showing both period 9-11 in office with style Absence and 11-6 with style OutOfOffice
But in Case of Calender view it doesnt show any of the Css.
Can i show such two periods in WebCalenderview ?If yes what i should do?
I would like to ask for some help with a particular problem that has been bugging me lately!
I am trying to create 2 divs that will resize dependent on the other within an outer div similiar to the way you can resize your inbox and the preview pane in Yahoo Mail or Outlook.
So what I require is that when you resize the top div to be smaller the div on the bottom will get larger. And both of these divs are contained within an outer containter div.
Below is more information about my setup.
So I have 4 divs on my page, an outer div (mainbody) that contains 3 divs (maincontenttop which sits on top of maincontentbottom and statusbardiv is inbetween these 2 divs).
Thank you very much for your reply! This would work fantastic however, I want the entire layout to be completely liquid and because of this I dont want to set any fixed heights or widths.
It would be immensly helpful to me if I would know how to acheive this just through a bit of pseudo code, then I could work out the finer details.
If you dont want to use other's code then my suggestion to you is to just keep coding. Personally I don't think you need to reinvent the wheel & using a framework would aid you greatly in solving this issue.
As you do not want to use a framework, I suggest you look up the following:
- checking when the mouse is clicked
-checking when an object (i.e div or hr between divs) is clicked and
- getting how far a mouse moves accross or up/down the screen while mouse is cliked
- modifying an object when it is clicked using something like :
