I m run my c# application on mac with using of mono framework.
it working fine with old version of mono framework.
I m chk this with 2.10.9 version.
now I m chk this with latest version of monoframework ,now it not working with this.
please help me how can I run my application on mac using mono framework with support of latest version of mac.

Personally I would start by getting all the requirements of the project down on paper. Breakdown the requirements into small chunks so that you are able to see what you need to accomplish each requirement.
Then I would think about the language that would be able to cope with the requirements.

i want to create a simple UI that displays simple files from the server.
Files like word documents, pdf files and pictures.
there is no option to delete or edit the files but just to view the files.
what programming language should i use to create such a UI.
currently i am trying to do it with java.

I would like to know if its possible develop a Multi-platform IM with HTML5 interface. If yes, what tools to use. (By HTML5, I mean html+css+javascript libraries like Jquery & bootstarp for make a nice interface.) The implementation of Hangouts based on chrome for desktop was one of my inspirations for this idea.
My current requirement is to develop a windows desktop based IM app which will notify is there is new messages and can be used for file transfer. But there is a plan to port it to Mac and later to mobile devices and finally a web-based app also once the product is stable. So I was hoping to develop in a platform where less modifications will be needed in the future.
With my limited knowledge, I am hoping to develop a java container that will take care of devices & platforms and HTML5 for interface. I under the impression that NodeJS can replace Java, but I might be wrong. I am flexible in terms of language. Just guide me in the right direction.
Just clarify, I am newbie developer and do not have any senior developers to seeks advice from. Kindly provide all the technical terms to refine my googling.

I plan to have a tool where multiple shapes are overlapping each other to create a design. These shape need to be able to be selected and a colour selected from a colour picker.
