1. The lounge is for the CodeProject community to discuss things of interest to the community, and as a place for the whole community to participate. It is, first and foremost, a respectful meeting and discussion area for those wishing to discuss the life of a Software developer.
The #1 rule is: Be respectful of others, of the site, and of the community as a whole.
2. Technical discussions are welcome, but if you need specific programming question answered please use Quick Answers[^], or to discussion your programming problem in depth use the programming forums[^]. We encourage technical discussion, but this is a general discussion forum, not a programming Q&A forum. Posts will be moved or deleted if they fit better elsewhere.
3. No sys-admin, networking, "how do I setup XYZ" questions. For those use the SysAdmin[^] or Hardware and Devices[^] forums.
4. No politics (including enviro-politics[^]), no sex, no religion. This is a community for software development. There are plenty of other sites that are far more appropriate for these discussions.
5. Nothing Not Safe For Work, nothing you would not want your wife/husband, your girlfriend/boyfriend, your mother or your kid sister seeing on your screen.
6. Any personal attacks, any spam, any advertising, any trolling, or any abuse of the rules will result in your account being removed.
7. Not everyone's first language is English. Be understanding.
Please respect the community and respect each other. We are of many cultures so remember that. Don't assume others understand you are joking, don't belittle anyone for taking offense or being thin skinned.
We are a community for software developers. Leave the egos at the door.
cheers,
Chris Maunder

We're caring for our daughter's and son-in-law's dog Mishka while they take their (Covid belated) honeymoon to Maldives. She (the dog) is one, full of energy and constantly pestering our own dog Grizzly who is almost 9 and values long naps.
It is going to be a noisy couple weeks!

we pretty much have my son's dog now 4 that is an Aussie Cattle Dog fulltime. Our own Dog a lap dog, fluffy, likes a 2 block walk once a day maybe. He is 14. The fluff ball and I understand each other and get along really well.
IF you know about Australian Cattle Dogs(acd) you know they are happiest when they are running. It is a fulltime job just throwing the ball for the acd. We do this for hours each day. watching TV just chucking the ball across the house. He is very well trained but NEEDS to run.
the older dog lets him know loudly when he gets in his way. Funny how the small white fluff ball pushes the younger dog around.
I love dogs all dogs, but,
It can make for a long evening sometimes.
To err is human to really elephant it up you need a computer

Could be worse - at least it's not a double-decker dog[^].

Yasunori Mitsuda - Chrono Cross ~ Scars of Time ~[^]
A soundtrack this week, from the Chrono Cross game.
I've been playing the remaster of this classic and while the remaster is not very good (a game from 1999 with framerate drops on a PS5!?) the game and its soundtrack are great.
Rather than sharing the original music with you, I've chosen a live orchestral performance.
The original from 1999 sounds, well, like you'd expect from a game soundtrack from 1999.
It's the opening track of the game, so probably the first music you'll hear.
It's pretty iconic, but the game has many great tracks.
The entire soundtrack is on both YouTube and Spotify.
If you're into JRPGs like (classic) Final Fantasy I can highly recommend Chrono Cross.
Now I'll just need to play Chrono Trigger too

Double take ?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!" - Hunter S Thompson - RIP
