To be honest, I am not sure these stats are correct. They are what wordle shows me. I do not recall getting the answer on the first try. I have gotten correct answers on 2nd try. I remember those.

It cost about 1/2 month salary for me back then. I couldn't read the date, but that was OK because it didn't keep time anyway.
So we went back to the jewellers and swapped it for a Seiko Titanium (plus a bit more money) which I preferred - I'm not an "Armani Man" anyway (I wore Dior suits when I had to wear a suit).
It was great, really light, really, really strong, waterproof to 100m*, and I've worn it every day since. It's been run over twice, got through about 10 batteries, and except for a few scratches on the crystal it looks pretty much like new.
Today, it stopped, and a new battery didn't fix it. It's an electronic movement, so it's probably unrepairable.
So I started looking for a replacement. Do I go smart watch? Or automatic? Steel, or Titanium again? I dunno.
Hang on, what's that? Is that the same model watch on ebay? Damn it, it is! Decision made: "Buy Now". Sorted.
I figure anything that can survive me for that amount of time has got to be pretty decent ... 
* Well, until you open it to change the battery, anyway.

I haven't carried a watch since getting a cell phone (twenty years ago?). I never liked having a watch on my wrist, so I had kept one in my pocket instead.

I take a mobile with me pretty much everywhere, but my wrist feels "naked" without a watch ... and I find it quicker to glance at my watch than get it out of my pocket and turn on my phone!

Honestly, if you prefer old school watches, I would stick with a Seiko. Seiko is still a great watch maker.
If you want to do what the masses are doing then get a smart watch and talk to your wrist like my wife does. Beem me up Scotty! 
I personally stopped wearing watches once I had a cell phone; so that was years ago then.

In 1974, I bought a Seiko Chronograph (Singapore, duty free). Mechanical, self-winding, dual time, stopwatch, real SWEEP second hand (5hz steps I think)... A bit heavy, but I got used to it. Wore it daily for 20+ years, put it in the drawer.
Had a few LCD analog and digital ones of various brands; none of them lasted.
About 10 or 12 years ago I bought a 1hz ticker, Lorus brand (made by Seiko, which I didn't know at the time).
Every so often its battery goes flat, and I shake the Seiko into life until I get round to changing the battery.
Still keeps good time, although it's showing signs of a hard life. One of the stopwatch buttons is on the bottom of Sydney Harbour but it's otherwise intact.

When I was working in Bahrain, I bought myself a Rolex Oyster. When I came to live in Cyprus, the strap broke, so I took it to the local Rolex agent to get a new strap. They quoted Cy£200, or about $400. I told them to stuff it, and I would take that Cy£200 elsewhere and buy a better watch with it. The replacement was a Seiko Kinetic. This was in 1995, and I am still wearing that watch today. The strapless Rolex has sat in my bedside cabinet for 27 years. The only annoyance with the Seiko is that it gains about a second a month.

How about a FitBit or similar? Watch plus exercise monitoring features.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

My wife uses those things, every 6 months or so come the screams (cussing) that it's not working. She buys another one, then comes the screams about having problems setting the thing up (bluetooth issues, etc.). After a week or so troubleshooting, it works and calm is again restored for another 6 months, "these things are great" she claims, I just don't see it.
