Yes, it's licensed from CBS, yes it's real, yes it cost US$97M, yes it's a game development company ...
No, it can't fly.
It probably doesn't work as well from ground level, but there is no Street View in China, so I can't tell.

I could not be bothered in my entire life to watch one episode of Star Trek (past, present, or future). I have not watched the movies either.
So, of course, I had to Google search the common phrase here in the States, only to find out it was never actually said in the show.
Now, I am really not sorry I posted it.

That happens a lot: "Play it again, Sam" didn't appear in Casablanca either.

It begs one to wonder why these sayings/phrases were fabricated in the first place and why they would be so prevalent and widely used if they have no basis in reality. Humans are fascinated with the fantasy world, more so than the real world, it would seem.
Interesting, to say the least.

I suspect that most people live in a fantasy world all the time, just that it shares a differing degree of resemblance to the "real world" (whatever that is).

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

I suppose watching any new iteration of Star Trek is enough to put anyone off watching any of the older series. Which are nothing alike (fortunately).

I can't explain it. I love sci-fi, not a fanatic though. Star Trek never appealed to me on any level, even after all these years. Not one iota of interest to watch it.
Which is odd really because I am interested in the deep-space exploration genre.
I love Star Wars - most of it anyhow. The newer stuff makes me vomit, but that is true for most movie/tv franchises these days.

When I showed up at Microsoft one day on Halloween I thought I had stumbled into a Star Trek convention.
I argued that we could increase developer productivity by localizing Visual Studio to Klingon.

One of my close friends used to work for Microsoft (14 years) and he is a major trekky. Must be par for the course at Microsoft.
