Have to agree - but it's been decades since I saw the film!

Hey, I liked some of the Monkees music. Very upbeat.

But "Badfinger" is still my sign off.

if select TortoiseGit => Switch/Checkout, I can switch to any branch to work on for a project.

I use that functionality often, despite the improved Git handling of Visual Studio I still prefer to use TortoiseGit.
For new users however TortoiseGit might be a bit more difficult to get started with.

Learning curve might be a factor, but I still prefer to give more importance, what will be more efficient once I already learned how to use the tool.

I spent time on and off for few months to test all features on tortoiseGit.
Now I start to use it for my personal projects.

I use the Git tools/functionality within Visual Studio 2022. It's all I need really. Integrates nicely with DevOps Git repos.
Last time I used Tortoise was TortoiseSVN I think about 7-10 years ago, maybe longer.
Glad to see they have a Git version now for those that like that.

Not to sound like that guy (but to sound like that guy)... You can do that with the CLI too.
I used to use TortoiseGit exclusively. Then I did a couple jobs where I had to work on a Mac. I only had to use Linux professionally twice, but being on a Mac for years without my trusty TortoiseGit... was no bueno. So, finally learned the CLI and it matters not which platform you're on it's still the same.
About the only thing CLI doesn't do as well is help spellcheck commits. You can still use external diff tools, etc. for everything else so zero is lost.
Anywho, it's worth learning the basics at least, should you find yourself on a different machine, remote container, etc.
