In my WinForm project, just notice there is a check mark around some forms. I just start to add my project into GitHub. maybe I missed something here...

Basically, it means that the local copy has been changed and that the changes aren't committed to github yet.

Hover your mouse over it, and it'll tell you exactly what it means - it means different things depending on what it's talking about: "Checked in" for newly added items that aren't reflected on the Github server, "Pending edit" for changed items.

To get rid of it, commit your changes.
