Funnily, LOGO has been resurrected, to an extent, in SmallBasic.. Microsoft's beginning language adopts LOGO's Turtle graphics.
(This is a good thing - I like seeing a simple beginners language that supports simple graphics - good for my lad)

I started my programming in C, and what a pleasure it has been making the transition to other languages such as C#, Java and VB.NET.
I apply alot of the things I've learned in C to other languages and 8/10 times it works. The most important feature I've learnt in C
I suppose is what I've learned about memory/stack/heap/pointers and gives me an advantage in a manner that when working with another programming language, I've got an idea of what is happening in the background.
If I had to be critical I would say, instead of "Write in C", "Think in C to a certain extent (!OOPS)".
All and all great poem!

I've got a bit of time before the hockey game starts, to get my vote in.
The late surge in polls by the NDP is going to be interesting to see how that plays out. While I can see someone like Jack Layton as a Prime Minister, I'd be more worried about the other people in his cabinet. Unfortunately, we don't know much about any of them. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

What form of voting system do you have in Canada? Here in the UK, we will shortly be having a referendum on changing our current voting system from the 'first passed the post' to the 'alternative vote' system.
I can't make up my mind yet which is best.

Not sure what the actual name is, but the country is split up into approximately 320 different areas. Each of the various political parties nominate someone to represent the party in each of the ridings and on election day, every person over the age of 18 will go and vote for one individual who has been nominated. In each riding, the person who receives the most number of votes will be declared the winner of the riding and will then represent the riding in our Parliament. The political party which has the most number of elected will then be asked by the Governor General to form a government.
Now back to hockey.
