We went through a living hell with the girls after FIL died. Often taking 3-4 hours to get them to settle, with intra-night incidents a regular occurrence. Now they're pretty good and most nights they go to bed, a quick prayer, lights out and they're asleep in 10-15 minutes.

Between 2 and 3am.

20:30, but I used to read until my father knocked down the fuse so that I could not read further. I tricked that out by reading with a torch under my cover.

The elder (5) goes at about 20:30, and sleeps in about 45s (you read that well)
My daughter (3) cannot sleep right away, so stays up a little bit longer and goes to bed at about 21:00, but exact same behaviour as Pompei explained above.

Same here. I could stay up for days, and sleep for days.

I eventually figured out that an irregular sleep pattern was contributing to my migraine headaches, so now I'm like proverbial clockwork: in bed by 9:30 p.m. and up at 5:00 a.m. +/- 30 minutes. The only time I've deviated from that schedule in the last 20 years have been after I've spent the night in the E.R. for the aforementioned migraines and received a hefty shot of morphine to Make It All Go Away.

Some of you may have seen this listed, but BBC2 is showing a documentary about Piper Alpha tonight at 9pm. I only know about the tragedy from the little I've read about it but I think it may well be an excellent fly-by of a tragic sequence of events all those years ago.

Good grief! The BBC The TV showing something watchable that isn't a repeat? Surely not?

The tragedy was a few years back - I suspect they did a documentary back then. If this program is not a repeat, it's going to be mostly a repeat, with a new voice over, and some updated interviews...

In July 88, I was eleven - so I was down the pub too!

Sky report this[^] about a facial reconstruction following a murder. I don't know how badly decomposed the body was but give these blokes full credit for what they achieved. The comparison of the reconstruction to an actual photograph is really very well done.

Actually, they just put the pictures side-by-side. Boom-tisshhh.
Seriously, I cannot judge because I have no idea how complicated this is, but I am not impressed by the result. You can hardly identify if it is a man or woman...
