Ok.
(Your arrest wasn't for hit and run ...)

You are stupid to focus solely on your arrest as the constraining issue. Your problem will be your lack of experience and skills.
Your other drawback is you seem to believe every negative thing you see on the internet and want to dismiss the positive. You site other forums and yet you come to one of the most professional sites and dismiss the advice you are given by a range of professional developers.

well to be honest that is the sole issue. What employer especially in the tech field is gonna wanna hire someone with a record?

So...you're in an even better position than someone who was found guilty of something and received a pardon.

It's all relative. Can you at least admit that much?

what do you mean by relative?

OMG. Is English not your native language?
"Hot" has a higher temperature than "cold".
"Black" is darker than "white".
"Having an arrest expunged" is better than "having been convicted of a crime but then pardoned".
That's how it's relative.

You are just arguing always the same.
I have already told it several times: Go and ask for a background check yourself.
If you were not convicted there should not be anything in the report. If the report is empty, just STFU and don't tell anything about it.
You have even been said by several professionals in several different countries (even your own) that even if the report wasn't empty it shouldn't be a problem if you have the correct skill set. YOU are making it a problem.
EDIT:
As I start to think you really are just a forum troll, this is going to be my last message in this thread if you don't prove me wrong.
I wish you good luck in your life and that you manage to find the job you deserve and fits you best.

I ran a background check on myself and nothing showed up, but is that suppose to make a difference? of course not.

Pity... I did actually hope you would prove me wrong.

Then why do you keep whining about a "record"?
You're a troll.

once again you can believe whatever you want to believe. I came here looking "help" i guess you can say and maybe some "guidance" but I get is bs answers. At the end of the day whether its a non conviction or a conviction a expunged arrest or not i still have a record at the end of the day and my life is pretty much over at this point.

I have a record too: some 45's and some LP's. But I don't whine about it.

actually no it doesn't. As i said I live here in America and I see you live in Canada. I never heard of anything called a 45 or an LP so try again smartass.

Exactly what I expected his response to be. Did not disappoint.

also again that doesn't explain anything. I looked up what both a 45 and LP is and it has nothing to do with programming whatsoever.

They're "records" ... it was a "joke". And about as relevant as your non-existent one.

non-existent? easy for you to say. I heard too many things about this from too many people. So all I'm gonna say is people saying its "non existent" or theres nothing there is complete bs.
