My initial 22H2 installation had some strange quirks, but after a few updates it performs much better. However, from time to time I still find that it will suddenly ignore certain mouse clciks, for many seconds. It is not 100% perfect yet!

You got it! You are on for tomorrow.
And, here's the solution for those playing the home version:
Definition:
Persistent
Rated Perfect: TEN
Electrical type: AC
Markers: IOUS
TENACIOUS

Thank you. I liked it too. It kind of wrote itself when I saw the word.

It did (write itself) - it had me stumped for a while until I realised that you meant AC/DC for electrical type then it solved itself

Is this a guess? If so, it is incorrect.
The (9) at the end of the clue means the solution is a single word 9 characters long.
The way these work is the first word or the last word in the clue is the definition (or a synonym) of the solution. Sometimes the def might include the first or last couple words or phrase. You need to look at both ends because it might be either. The rest of the clue is called the word play. It's a sort of map to build to the solution. Then the number(s) in parens tell how many words and their lengths is the solution (4,6) means 2 words, 1st is 4 letters long and the 2nd is 6.
So my clue today was: Persistent rated perfect electrical type markers. (9)
In this case the def was PERSISTENT. You wouldn't know that. You'd have to play with that and MARKERS as possible definitions. In my clue, the word play worked out as:
Quote: Rated perfect = TEN (on a scale of 1-10)
Electrical type = AC (Alternating Current)
Markers = IOUS (a marker is an IOU, and it's plural).
Put that together to get TENACIOUS - a 9 letter word meaning persistent.
The idea seems simple, but the practice can be maddeningly challenging. It took practice to get to the point where I can usually solve 2 or 3 a week and sometimes all 5. But usually not as fast as some of the regulars. Plus the game is 4 hours long starting at 9:00 am UK time and that's 3:00 am here in South Dakota so I'm usually asleep (unless I get up for old man reasons ). But I try to solve each day's clue sometime later that day. I've also learned that setting a clue is much harder than solving - much harder. And, I like the challenge.

We are in same time zone but not temperature zone.
Been to SD several times.
Actually went fishing for carp in flooded corn fields many moons ago (Vermillion area).
Guess is the optimal word, but more like what it sounds like.
Electrical persistent seems opposite to resistance so it is somewhat electrically related.
Electrically type could be DC.
Markers could be the color coded bands used to for resistance.
Thanx for the hints to solutions. They mostly baffle me.
I am dense in the negative way (no pun intended).

Vermillion, you say! I live in Yankton, about 25 miles west.

Yankton looks like a nice farming town on the Missouri River. Did not visit when I was in Vermillion.
