Hi Friends
I want to bind the String with the DataGrid , in such a way
that i have one string say "125:test" . I want this string to be bound with the datagrid , so that , each and every character , means
1 2 5 : t e s t , will store individually ,in the individual cell of the datagrid.
Please , guide me.

Hi,
You can create rows and cells using a loop where in you parse a given string and put 1 character in the cells text property. But please note that there will be problems if your strings are not of same length. If that is the case, you will have to enter the blank values in cells where there are less number of characters. Hope I am clear enough and the solution can be implemented

store the characters in a table (1 char per column), then databind it.

I dont remeber but you can directly attach a string as a data source to a data grid as --
value = "123:test"
dataGrid1.datasource=value
here value is declared to be a string variable. I read it somewhere on the other forums here on CP (not able to remember the exact link)
But i dont think that this will work in case if multiple rows are needed. Dont know ! i havent checked it myself !

Hi All
I have one datagrid.I have one string like value= "123;value".whenever I bind this string with datagrid like
datagrid.datsource=value
datagrid.databind
when my grid is displayed one character per cell.
But I want whole string in one cell.How can i do that?

i have 2 listboxes,whichever item i select in the first listbox should appear in the second and the item in first listbox shud be removed,im using this piece of code

Say that when you start "lststates.Items.Count - 1" = 10; this will be computed only once. When you remove an item it gets the index out of range. Try counting down from lststates.Items.Count - 1 to 0.

Once u removed the item from listbox u need to decrease the count (count--)to 1. because once u removed the item count will be reduced. i think below code would be helpful to u. the code which i added is put in bold and underline

This because your for loop iterates through the items before any have been removed. Once an item is removed, the high index will be out of bounds.

Hi,
When I tried to use a dll created from one vb application in my vb.net project,it is giving error like "registration Failed". I have tried to register using regsvr32.Then it is hsowing registered successfully..But when I tried to add a reference it is giving the same error.
How to resolve this..Any idea/steps are much appreciated..

Hi,
I want print option in my asp.net application. When I click that button, it should directly take printout of the current page from the printer. I used Javascript: window.print(). But it saves the page and we have to take printout from that. Its working like print screen option. But i dont want that one. Please can anyone help me for this.
