As a general rule, an article is expected to contain enough content that a new developer can learn from it, not just the steps required to use Visual Studio, or a few lines of code to display something on the screen. If you want to see the sort of quality that is expected, then take a look at any articles by some of the top rated MVPs of the site, excluding me, but definitely including Pete O'Hanlon, who commented above.

Any way thanks for suggestions. I have a blog on which i have shared my content and thought of sharing it on CP.
But thanks to the responses and reviews, i deleted them all.
I am more than happy to have 250 hits a day guiding others in problems which i have faced.

Nothing wrong with that, though Code Project does have the ability to automatically import your blog entries to the site (I've not used it myself, but that's how it's supposed to work I think).

Just curious what you all use when you write your Code Project articles on a Mac using the submission template file from the article submission page. I'm thinking of using WebStorm, since it's a product I already like and it has a live preview of the HTML as you edit it. Taco HTML Edit and Coda 2 also look nice, though I've not used them before.
What do you recommend?
Note that I'm actually writing my current article in Scrivener, but when I incorporate images and convert it to HTML I want an editor that specifically knows how to work with HTML (code completion, syntax highlighting, live preview, and so on).

How can I upload my source code that is in a zip file for my article in Code Project?
|
|
|
|

Please see our FAQ entry on that here: Code Project Article FAQ[^] and let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks,

Thank you Sean. We can only upload file up to 1 MB, but my source code is about 15 MB. How can I do that?
|
|
|
|

Sadly we are capped at about 5 MB. In those cases it would be OK to host the source code on an outside place like dropbox, etc.
Thanks,

Does your ZIP contain the executables as well? If so, strip the binaries out of the source file and host that here on CP (and, as Sean says, use an external source for the executable).

Only the people who downvote you can do that.
Rajeshkrathor wrote: and how i can check who did this so that i asked reason for this.
You can't.
[Edit]I've just looked at a couple of your answers. In both cases, you answered and accepted the answer to your own question. This looks suspiciously like someone who's spamming the boards for points, and it looks like someone has decided to even the balance here. Before you ask, no it's not me - until you posted this question I had no idea who you were.
A final point. Your question has nothing to do with writing articles.

hi , Thanks
But one think i would like to ask if i post a question and no body able to answered that and then i found the solution for that and accept the solution.
than what's wrong with it.
You just search people to down vote how cheap thinking people have here.
I don't come here to earn points but i found people how ridiculous is this to down vote even you know nothing about that.
this post is just to ask otherwise i am not going to get millions for getting points here.

I've just looked at a handful of your answers - in each case, they are answers to your own question. Sometimes you have accepted your own answer which is the same as someone else's answer to you, which you have not accepted. It's no wonder that people find this suspicious. I certainly find it suspicious.

hi,
Sir I agree with you but please check that they are not exact what i am looking for in my latest post i mention the name of the person by who help me to get the solution.
I no people help me with the solution but if done the changes on that then what you will do? accept you ans or his.
In every case there is the difference in my answer and that person's who give the solution.
Thanks

Unfortunately for you, your acceptance of your own answer has angered someone. As the points don't mean anything at all, I'd just ignore them.

hi,
Yes this what i am saying, there is nothing points can do here, we are here to just help each other.
but i found that person a psycho, he keep down voting all answered by me since the beginning.
I just want to say him, if he feel happy by doing this then i am ready to give all my points to him.
Anyway thanks man for your reply.

Hi,
I think there is no one who down vote you from beginning, They may be admin(other member- maintain this website) of code project team, They feel you are spamming so that your answer is down voted by different admin members who view that...
So my suggestion is you don't answer your question yourself , you can add comment in it or edit question to that you found solution, put your solution there...
The repeating answers by yourself is spamming for code project, Because they want people get points genuinely for reputation of code project portal.
you can see on this link how other members report spam :

Hi Rajesh,
I also face this problem before. But now I am vary specific to ans,
1) we cant trace who downvoted our ans.
2) The other code project user and admin(IT team of codeproject) downvoted the ans(or any other stuff like artical, question or etc...) if they not satisfied by this or finding spam(a answer with unappropriated link)... As the codeproject team said me to by email with my old account.
Now I answered vary specific which is really helpful for questioner.. so that I getting upvoted on my answers.
Thanks
(And if you find this will help you please don't forget to vote & accept as ans.)

hi,
thanks
yes that's what i did also , i post a question and i myself find the answer then what i will do , i will only click on i have solve this.
I can't tell how cheap that person is, he search all of my 1 year back answers to just down vote.
I thing now he will get millions by doing this.
People don't imagine that these points not going to give a single penny to them but still still doing this for no reason.
I just want to say that person tell me your name and i will give you thousand of points if he feel good with that.

Articles from my blog (blogger) are automatically consumed just fine. However, when I update my blog entries, the articles in codeproject are not automatically updated (at least not within in a week). I realize I could manually copy-paste from my blog into the codeproject article using the edit feature... but that seems a bit barbaric. What am I missing?

Hi John,
Unfortunately, the blog aggregator is more a "one time deal" function. It nabs the text initially, but it wasn't designed to update the text. If you'd like we'd be happy to apply the update for you if you notify us at submit[at]codeproject.com.
Thanks,
