If you're editing the raw HTML, the <details> element[^] might work. (Assuming the editor doesn't remove it.) Smile | :)

I have an article draft and uploaded a zip file and inserted link to article.

In Preview on link click I get always:
No download file specified?

What can I do?

Unfortunately you won't be able to download the article in the preview, but once the article is live, you will.

Thanks very much for your message. Because we've changed the taxonomy on the site to being set by tags rather than by sections, we've tried to narrow the focus of the tags on each article. The message is meant to only allow article updates and new articles to have a maximum of eight tags. If you'd like help in narrowing the tags on your article please let me know and I'd be happy to help.

I've edited the tags. Basically I took out the tags that were either already covered, not as valuable in terms of users finding your article, and didn't quite apply. If you'd like a tag by tag breakdown, I'd be happy to discuss.

Is there any way to add table borders and cell borders in a table in my article.
my current table looks like the following : https://i.stack.imgur.com/WXn6t.png[^]

I have looked at the table options and they are currently set like the following:

I've also noticed that if I download the HTML and view it in a browser then I do see borders on table and columns:

but, that's only if I remove the links to the other stylesheets.

We have a class just for tables. Inside just put <table class="ArticleTable"> and you'll be using the design used for all tables on CodeProject.

1. used command line bec we were forced too, no real other choice
2. moved quickly toward GUI stuff -- as everyone thought it would make _everything_ easier / better

Here's my big story about this:

Back around 2000 I was doing C# development (still am) and I had to develop a piece which would save data to Oracle database. I worked up the forms and the data schema.
I had to submit the data schema (3 or 4 tables) to the DB ADMIN.
He approved it and I sent him the DDL that he could run and create the tables. -- you know that is basically a command-line script Big Grin | :-D

He sent and email and let me know my tables were created.

I started working on my code and testing form to insert data in tables.
Got a strange crash and discovered that two different field's data types were incorrect. They were varchar and should've been int.
What?!
I checked my script and they were correct.
I walked over to DB ADMIN and inquired.

I said, "I'm not sure how those fields could've been changed since they are set in the DDL."
DB ADMIN said, "Oh, I don't run those scripts I just looked at them when I ran Toad (Oracle GUI tool[^] for DB work) and created the tables & fields by hand."
I sh** myself and walked out to clean up. Laugh | :laugh:

I haven't done DB work but still found your story hilarious.

After I started to use GUIs as a user, I never wanted to see command line stuff again. Ever. When Apple Macs came out, we used them for everything but development, which was on terminals hosted by IBM mainframes. When Unix workstations replaced the terminals, I was not pleased. Eventually I got up to speed, by why this suffering? With GUIs, you just poke around and figure out how to do most things without even reading the documentation. It was the same with MS-DOS. Having used a Mac, I thought it was total crap.

Of course, the software that I develop only has a command line interface. Big Grin | :-D

The problem with GUIs is that they're platform specific and add even more boilerplate, which C++ already provides enough of.
