In deed I have no doubts that I won't buy this.
I really like watches and I have my Omega SpeedMaster[^] in a high rank but this smartwatch thing still has a lot to evolve... or maybe not...
There's really nothing "wow" about it and there's nothing useful either... so... NO

Omega SpeedMaster - looks smart, but geeks would not like to name it as smart watch
Anyway nice watch Alex

I have more interest in the recent trend of fitness devices, which can track my activity and give me feedback.
These devices are far more useful than a smart-watch, because the current smart-watches are just a useless gadget with a terrible screen and an awful battery life. They don't bring anything new or useful.
It might be just me, but I feel the same way for Google Glass, it's an unnecessary distraction device that will do more harm than bring anything useful.

Glass I can see having some real applications. Maybe not this generation, but in a couple of years time I can see it being the "iPad to the year" and people will wonder what we did before we got one.

"but in a couple of years time"
A couple of "Ten" years time maybe no?
Anyway, they really have to come up with something less obtrusive.
Now Glass it looks like the "stupid" photos we see from the ancient mobile phones or other early tech versions...

I have a perfectly good watch, that had told me the date and time, and looked good for twenty years or so already.
1) Why would I want a watch which screams "this is a geek!" before I get the chance to open my mouth?
2) Why would I want a watch that I have to replace every six months or it screams "this is an out of fashion geek!"?
3) I grew out of tiny displays and fiddlier buttons when I had a Casio Databank watch yonks ago...

There was a time when people said, "Why would I want to carry a phone around with me everywhere?"
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

That's true...
But it's also true that I spend days in a row... but several days in a row that I don't use my phone to call anyone.
So right now we're not carrying phones around, we carry a device that among multiple other things can be used to call, and this function is arguably not the most used one.
Of course, I'm strictly speaking about smart phones here...

I live "timeless" - I don't carry any watch since ages, so I have no need for a "smart-watch" gadget
My smart-phone is more than sufficient for my needs.

Fully agree.
If I need to know what time is it, I check it in phone or I ask someone
M.D.V.
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
