Ask the people in the developers social environment (if here is one).

Not by the looks of the poll results. Seems very poor for a lot of people.
It's a wonder any geeks pro-create at this rate

My social life is Ok, I guess but there are some persons I want to get rid of because their habbits(ie. woman beating and like that) discust me. I have also a new reallife friend who is also a programmer and I'm hoping we get close. Other old friends will still be withme I hope. =)

Life ...
It's what you wanted when you were a kid, and you couldn't drive, didn't have a job nor a girl-friend.
Life ...
It's what you get when you have that car and all it's payments, have a job that keeps you busy 80 hours a week and get married to that girl, who now wants no less than 4 kids of her own; and that $300k home so all her "friends" can turn green with envy.
Social Life ...
It's what you could have had if you hadn't been so quick as a kid to go rushing to get all that stuff you didn't have.

I don't have any of these... and I'm not a kid and I don't really know what stops me...
I think I should have joined the army.

I have been in the army, it's not so bad there. I have thought I should see "life" and join the UN-troops. I dunno, I hope I get a wife and a house couldbe nice but not like those things described above.

Social life involves humans. Humans are emotion driven and illogical. I prefer machines. No emotions.

Social life involves humans. Humans are emotion driven and illogical.
Your first premise is true.
Fortunately, your second premise is false. I am a human, but I am not necessarily emotion driven. Neither am I illogical.
Based on the premises of your argument, the conclusion would be that "Social life is emotion driven and illogical." This is false and invalid. That uses the major fallacy of Hasty Generalization.
If you are a programmer, use better logic in your applications.

I'm not so sure. The way my build machine at work has been behaving, I'm fairly sure its female. Had to show it who's boss, and do a complete reinstall.

Is your favorite phrase "Prepare to be assimilated"

I understand that feeling: machine are more responsive in a "rational" way. On and off, my guy tell me, there is ghost in the system, so that's why its not working in the way it should be, and everytime i stepped in, it always either a program logic error, or system environment level error, or tuning.
Whilst human, there is no standard protocal. Each one is a individual of himself/herself. Assimilate is not possible. (i just cant stop laughing sawing this statement)
From time to time, when the mode goes down, i like to sit infront of my machines, they listen. Especially after a day work, at night, before the sun rises.

I installed a new motherboard and HDD. I also installed VS 6 replacing VC++ 5. I then installed Directx 7 like I had done before. My problem is VC++6 won't work with VC 6. The game I have been working on (in VC 5) will not compile with VC 6. It errors out on the call to Directx. I have checked the directories under the options tag and they include the directx directories. Any suggestions???

I can see how this really messes up your social life.
"We trained hard, but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams we would be reorganised. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganising: and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress, while producing confusion, inefficiency and demoralisation."

We are microsoft developers.. Not the unix crowd
Having a life is what sets us apart

wouldt-be answer from a unix dev:
Unix is life. Windows is death. That's why MS developers need an additional life, while we are happy with our unix-life.

Been doing it for about 7 years now. I have a very good life outside of work. Learning to play the piano, woodworking and cycling. Learning to walk away from work at 5:00 is the hard part. Once you get over that battle, it is easy.

i thinkthis is the third time i am posting this message. i don't know why no one is replying. if it is possible please help me out.
I am a list of usercontrol on my pannel. On button click i need to clear or remove or dispose these all controls in pannel and need to create n number of same user control again.
i am doing this and this is not at all a problem.
Problem is when i dispose or clear or remove exach control from pannel then i can see the controls are removing one by one and it will create one by one.
If i put the removal process asyncronously it will become problem for me. why bcause i need some out put after removing or disposing the controls which are already there.
So i can't go ahead with asyncronous.
if i am not choosing asyncronous then user will see the step by step removal on user screen and control creation.
the thing is i need to hide the one by one removal process.
How ?
And i seen your latest cost planning project. it nice
hai, enjoy coding
