So you actually ask if the methods will run parallel in real?
I see no reason not to - except that I'm not sure you defined the method properly... It should be static so Invoke would find and execute...
An other point is the _ parameters (like _primaryDBUtility), they must be thread safe to access them without problem...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 13-Jan-20 8:41am View

Parallel.Invoke itself has nothing to do with thread safety... You have to check the classes/methods you are using inside it...

It is about order...
The initialization in the constructor is prior to the set of the property, and that overrides the previous value with null...
You may write some code in the property setter to handle the special case of null...

Do I understands correctly (from your SQL) that the first letter of a node's ID is the parent node's ID? Now that's quite not fit the sample you gave above...
To create a nice tree binding, you should come back from the SQL with 3 columns for each node: parent id, node id, text (where parent id will be null for the root(2))...

This means (except of the application crash) that you have to poll constantly the DB and 3rd party services to see if they are well and alive...
It is a very time/resource consuming thing to do, and basically goes against the disconnected nature of the web... You must have to have a very serious reason to do this, otherwise just go with exception handling...

We are going around and missing each other...
My request for clarification was about using an emulator to develop/debug/test a mobile application that connects real devices via WiFi...
You pointed out that there is an emulated WiFi (since API 25 IIRC), but even with that an emulator does not see any real device with AP... (I didn't asked for devices that create AP - I already have several ESP8266 powered things)...
Thank you for your effort to try and help me - I may conclude that my conclusion is right - I have to use a physical phone to develop such application...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 20-Jan-19 2:10am View

But have you seen any real device creating an AP? To test my code it is not enough to have a emulated WiFi network, but need actual connection to made to an actual device...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 16-Jan-19 15:34pm View

The code to search for APs is there and working, but without a true device that can access calls behind that AP it is not much use, so AndriodWiFi is no use for me in this case...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 16-Jan-19 13:24pm View

That's an emulated AP (and only for very new API levels) - I try to look for real APs of real devices (I created)... On the real phone it works (with room for bugs), but on the emulator does not (even the host computer does see the APs)... I just wan't to be sure that I understood right that this is the case and didn't missed something small but valuable to me...

"Google solves a lot of problems" - You will be surprised, but over 80% of the questions here can be 'solved' with a few Googling...
If I take 'solution' as is, than the only solution is presenting an Angular 6 component, that works without reporting service... Means no solution exists...

You probably can't unless the 'blank area' is a control itself and expose events...
If you have a way to tell where is the 'blank area' inside the control you may get answers from the cursor position during the event...

class A1 : public A {

      // call base constructor
    }

It is possible, but may be a bad design (should A1 know how to create A?)...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 9-Jul-18 8:57am View

I can't see any shortcut for that - you designed a setup where A1 has four parameters... You have to pass four parameters...

class B

    public:
        B();

class C

class C1 : public C
{
    public:
        C1() : C()
        {

        };
};

class A
{
    public:
        A(B* b, C* c);
};

class A1 : public A
{
    public:
        A1(B* b, C* c, B1* b1, C1* c1) : A(b, c)
        {

        };

Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 9-Jul-18 8:32am View

It is true only if b and b1 are the same, but that not seems to be the case... Or at least not clearly the case...
Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter 9-Jul-18 8:26am View

All those A, B and C are confusing...
When you are telling that A's constructor has two parameters of type B and C, do you mean of class B and class C mentioned just before?
So b and b1 are two different objects one of type class B and the other of type class B1?
