check my answer..
What is the error you are getting?
sorry.. did not notice that question has been asked by someone else..my mistake Maciej, these basic suggestions are not for you. You can ignore em.. you can suggest any corrections though..
I have not reposted, I have mentioned 2 different approaches to do the same. One is using entity framework which will be created based on your requirements and class structures..
But I can feel that you want to create numerous tables on button clicks.. which though I don't know why someone would do.. in this case, second approach will work fine, assuming that you know how to call a parameterized stored proc from ado.net.. and if it solves the issue, do mark it as solution..
I don't think Grant or Deny can be used to allow an user for executing DML commands, not for DDL commands..
you can deny an user to do a select on a table or insert on a table but you cannot allow an user to create a table if the user is not listed in either sysadmin or dbcreator group..
Hey, when you are connecting you should have the permissions in your db for creating a database. you can go to Security-->logins-->select the user-->properties-->server roles.. you should be either listed in the dbcreator or serveradmin or sysadmin... by default sa account has sysadmin.. if you are not running it in enterprise, then you will have permissions by default...
Though I did not see your comment before fixing, but you were right. I modified the end to \\b[\\.\\s] and it worked fine. Thanks everyone.
What I have to do is to capture the matching sequences in the input string for example, in the input
I need to capture only those lines which either contain a dot or a space after the pattern and not to capture those which contain anything other than that.
ie I need to capture only the first three lines but not the last one.
The problem is, in Expresso I am getting exactly 3 matches, but in Visual Studio the same Regex is not capturing a single match.I ran it by removing the \s+ from the end, but still not works.
The rest of style runs. But the binding is showing blank text.
Thanks Pallavi. THat was really helpfulllll...........
Thanks for the reply. But the data in my textbox will vary based on the format. How to pick up the data from textbox and then cast it into date. Once date data is there, it would be easy to compare. The data in my textbox should be 12-Feb-2013 kind of format.. any pointers?
Let me check on Port 80 once .. I will be getting back to the post :)
That was a nice answer...actually where is the question......haha
Thanks for the info. I have tried using the same. The problem is, some systems are able to connect or to say, some users are, remaining are not allowed to. I am goin mad finding how to resolve that.
I actually want to use Interop.Excel as I am using .net and the company where I work will not permit me to use any 3rd party application when there is already a way to do that.
@Pascal: so, if I need more than one one sheet in a single excel file, is it possible to work in the same way? Can it be formatted?? I did not get time to try this on,but your suggestions seem to be really helpful.
Thanks in Advance......
No, the batch file has not the same name as the application.
<pre lang="cs">private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
string username = Environment.UserName;
path = "d:\\jashobanta\\a1.bat";
//string path = @"C:\\Users\\"+username+"\\Desktop\\a1.bat";
//string path1 = @"d:\test.bat";
FileStream fs = null;
using (fs = File.Create(path))
using (StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(path))
sw.Write("@ftp -i -s:\"%~f0\"&GOTO:EOF" + Environment.NewLine);
sw.Write(txtUserID.Text + Environment.NewLine);
sw.Write(txtPassword.Text + Environment.NewLine);
sw.Write("get 'DEVJKC9.PARMCARD.BACKUP(STORES)' ftp.txt"+Environment.NewLine);
sw.Write(Environment.NewLine + "exit");
This is the code. If I delete the application, the batch file does the FTP properly but when the application is present, it opens another instance of the application. If I close the application, the batch file closes and no ftp happens; and if I give the credentials again, it opens another instance of the batch file, so I m not sure what to do...
The batch file is not calling the application in any means.
Thanks @OriginalGriff..It worked..
